ACCENTURE TEAM: GIFTING SMILES TO UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS
It was an eventful afternoon on 27th February, with the Accenture personnel visiting Mobility India. The visit presented a great opportunity to orient them about the activities carried out by Mobility India, especially on the education component.
The team interacted with 25 children from Mobility India’s community projects, to get more insight on how the educational initiatives are impacting these students’ lives, who otherwise would have never got a chance to attain education.
The students beamed with joy while receiving the in-kind gifts and the much needed school essentials. The satisfaction which came through the contribution was also substantially visible on the faces of the Accenture team.
COGNIZANT FOUNDATION SPONSORED EQUIPMENT TO MOBILITY INDIA
Cognizant Foundation sponsored various equipment and machineries to augment the capacity of Prosthetic & Orthotic workshop at Mobility India.
It was an opportune moment for Mobility India, to have Mr. Kalyan Mohan, Executive-Vice President, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Mr. Jayatirtha Rao for the inaugural ceremony of the equipment. The technical team briefed about each and every equipment, how it will be helpful for the rehabilitation services rendered by Mobility India.
In his feedback, Mr. Kalyan Mohan cited “Truly outstanding work. Amazed with the passion of the people. I wish you all the very best in all truly amazing endeavours”.
WHEELCHAIR SERVICE & TRAINING DELIVERY WORKSHOP AT JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN
Mahatma Gandhi Occupational Therapy College and Rajasthan Association of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in collaboration with Mobility India organised the workshop. The 4 credit hours of training was planned with theoretical as well as practical illustrations to benefit the participants the most.
The workshop turned out to be a huge success, with 198 participants form various domains of General Medicine, Nursing, Physio & Occupational Therapy as well as Prosthetics & Orthotics.
Ms. Nirmala Danu, Occupational Therapist and Mr. G Sudhakar, Physiotherapist from Mobility India were the master trainers for the workshop.
Ms. Sneha Bhola, Occupational Therapist from Jaipur was a co-trainer during the practical sessions. She was a participant in the Wheelchair Service Training Package-Basic Level organised during 8th-13th February, 2016 at Mobility India. She is the perfect exemplary of putting the learnings to implementation as well as disseminating the same.
